Important: Some software is only available to specific groups. If you have questions or need help accessing a particular software, submit a service ticket and UITS will be happy to assist you.

Downloadable Software

To download software, including Adobe products, follow these steps:

  1. Go to desktopsoftware.kennesaw.edu.
  2. Log in with your KSU email and password.
  3. Choose the software you plan to use for work.
  4. A button on the top-right reads Add to Cart, Get Instructions, or Get Access.
    1. If the button says Add to Cart, click it to add the software to your cart, then view your cart and check out.
    2. If the button says Get Instructions, click it to open instructions for installing the software.
    3. If the button says Get Access, click it to be directed to an external site where you can access the software

  • Abila MIP is a fund accounting software for non-profit organizations. It includes functions such as general ledger, accounts payable/receivable and Bank reconciliation. 
  • Acrobat Pro is the professional full version of Acrobat developed to edit, create, manipulate, print, and manage files in the Portable Document Format (PDF).
  • The Adobe Creative Suite is a collection of programs for graphic design, video editing, pdf manipulation and creation, and web development applications. 
  • Adobe Express is a cloud-based media creation application that makes it easy for anyone to create impressive social media graphics, promotional videos, and single-page websites. 
  • The KSU Contract Management System enables users to submit contracts for review and approval to the Contracts Office. All agreements that impact Kennesaw State University operations or facilities must be submitted on this system. This includes agreements between Kennesaw State University Foundation, Kennesaw State University Research and Services Foundation, Kennesaw State University Athletic Association and any other entity associated with Kennesaw State University. 
  • The AiM system tracks assets of facilities, routine maintenance and allows campus employees to submit requests for facility repair and maintenance
  • Alertus Desktop is a campus emergency notification system that presents alerts on all desktops, laptops and digital signs
  • Anthology Portfolio, formerly Chalk & Wire, is an assessment platform that helps institutions manage and track student learning outcomes, providing tools for creating digital portfolios, competency-based assessments, and data analytics to support continuous improvement in education
  • AudienceView is a ticketing system used by the College of the Arts to sell tickets for events at the Theater Box Office.
  • AutoCAD is a software that allows users to design and annotate 3D Models and 2D Geometry
  • Autodesk Civil 3D design software empowers civil engineers to meet complex infrastructure challenges in a 3D model-based environment
  • Revit is 4D building information modeling application capable with tools to plan and track various stages in the building's lifecycle, from concept to construction and later maintenance and/or demolition
  • Banner Student Information Systems  is a database of student records and information maintained by KSU. It assists colleges and universities in recording and maintaining information/data for their students, employees, alumni, and donors. KSU is licensed for the following modules: Student, Accounts Receivable, and Financial Aid.
  • CampusLogic is a digital platform that simplifies and automates the financial aid process for students and institutions, offering tools for online form management, scholarship matching, personalized communications, and AI-driven support to improve financial aid accessibility and efficiency.
  • Cayuse is a cloud based research suite that is designed to simplify the preparation and electronic submission of proposals and other research administration processes.

  • Chematix is a chemical inventory management software
  • Symplicity Advocate Concern is a web portal that allows campus community members to report a formal complaint.
  • Concur is travel application that manages the travel-booking process from beginning to end, tracking all relevant expenses.
  • Machines that provide copying, scanning, printing and wireless printing using a KSU ID card or a Guest card. 
  • Cyberduck is an open-source client for FTP and SFTP that is primarily used by students to access student webpages on a Mac computer
  • D2L Brightspace is KSU's primary learning management system for academic courses.
  • Decisions is a workflow automation platform that helps organizations automate their business process. 
  • DegreeWorks is an Owl Express integrated, web-based application that allows students and advisors to assess degree requirements. 
  • On the Hub is a self service software download platform where users can checkout licenses and download software provided by KSU
  • Duo is a two-factor authentication solution supporting the security of personal and university data for campus community members
  • EAB Navigate is a student success hub for academic advising appointments, notes regarding advisement and other relevant tools.
  • eCore is a collaborative program of the University System of Georgia (USG) established with the goal to make higher education more accessible within Georgia. eCore courses at KSU use the GoView learning management system.
  • The EMS desktop client is installed by request for advanced users of EMS Campus
  • EMS is a web application that allows  faculty, staff, student assistants, and student organization position holders to reserve simple meetings, request events and services, and also allows approved department members to reserve their own spaces (like conference rooms, etc.).
  • ePay is a web based payment authorization application where students or their authorized users can check their account balance, make payments, or view payment history.
  • An application for Environmental Health and Safety for reporting  incidents that result in an injury or illness, a near miss incident, environmental damage or property damage.

  • Fusion consists of two modules: Rec Center Management and the Web Portal. Rec Center Management is a management solution for facility access, membership maintenance, and equipment check out. This application is installed per request from the Student Recreation and Activities Center. The Web Portal allows the community and students to register and pay for classes and camps offered by the Department of Sports & Recreation.
  • Global Protect VPN establishes a secure connection between your computer and a remote campus server that encypts your personal data, masks your IP address and allows access to secure campus.
  • Handshake is an online career services portal for finding career events, job postings, co-ops or internships.
  • iClicker is a classroom response system integrated into the Learning Management System which allows instructors and students to interact dynamically in minutes.
  • ​ICT is a software applications (desktop client) that allows the capture of data from transcripts and push the data into Banner. ​​
  • iThenticate is an extension to Turnitin designed specifically for detecting plagiarism research papers. It is remotely hosted and requires that an account(separate from Turnitin) be set up for each individual.
  • Jump Forward is a student athlete application for recruiting, reporting and compliance functions.
  • KCash Manager is a web application that allows users to manage Kcash and Dining Dollars, view historical transactions or report a lost campus ID card.
  • Kissflow is a web application where employees can request access to specific doors on campus
  • KSU Connect is a central portal for reporting on information from various campus data sources
  • KSU Mall, also referred to as KSU Marketplace, is a site for purchasing tickets for conference attendance, summer camps, academic competitions and other campus sponsored events.
  • The KSU Wi-Fi consists of a few Wi-Fi networks that allow Employees, Students and Guests access the internet
  • The Library Database is a group of applications and databases provided by the Library to assist in research
  • Students, faculty and staff use this site to purchase campus meal plans.
  • Kaltura Mediaspace is a centralized hub for hosting videos, live streaming and delivering multimedia content.
  • Application that protects computers from malware
  • Moodle is a software application for the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting and delivery of courses.
  • The NetID is your unique identifier and keys to most web based campus applications.
  • NVivo is a qualitative analysis computer software package produced by QSR international
  • OnBase is a document imaging system used for storing and managing scanned documents into electronic folders
  • OneUSG connect is an application that allows employees to enter time, request absences, enroll in and manage benefits, retirement savings plans, and view other HR and payroll information
  • Owl Express is a comprehensive Student Information System that manages student registration, academic records, and financial aid.
  • Owl Life allows students to manage and grow their organizations on campus by providing functionality for organization registration, event management, activities fee allocation, group communication, roster management, co-curricular transcripts, service hour tracking, and elections. For access and security forms, contact the Office of Student Life.
  • OwlPay is a system that allows employees to create intercompany payments.
  • Owltrain, also know as Percipio, is KSU's main training platform. Users are able to register for training, and access online self-paced training resources.
  • The Parking Portal is used to obtain and manage parking permits, pay citations or submit an appeal. 
  • Peoplesoft Finanacials is a  system that includes GL, Budget, Purchasing, AM, AP and AR modules.  Procurement (Epro) module  is a module in Peoplesoft Financials for USG institutions to create requisitions for goods and services.
  • Platform28 is a robust cloud contact center solution.
  • Qualtrics is an online survey management tool.
  •  Raiser's Edge is a donor and alumni information database used for fund raising and donor management. 
  • Website used to manage contact information for emergency notifications
  • Respondus is an application used to create/manage quiz/exam questions and import into D2L Brightspace
  • Lockdown Browser is an application used with Desire2Learn to complete a quiz/exam that prevents test taker from using other browsers/tabs during the exam.
  • Respondus Monitor is a companion product to Respondus Lockdown Browser that enables instructors to protect the integrity of non-proctored, online exams.  Students use their own computer and a web cam to record themselves taking the exam.
  • Rhinoceros is a commercial 3D computer graphics and computer-aided design application software that is primarily used by the College of Architecture and Construction Management
  • Salto is the door access and control system for Kennesaw State University. This system manages electronic locks on campus and student housing.
  • SAS is an in-depth reporting tool regarding KSU data.
  • ServiceNow is a cloud-based application that provides workflow management for user requests, IT incidents, knowledge management, project, and asset management.
  • SoftChalk Cloud is a web application that lets you create lessons to publish online. Lessons can include text, multimedia, self-check quizzes, and more. Your lessons can include multiple linked pages and a table of contents, and you can style your lessons for a professional look. .
  • SolidWorks is a solid modeling computer-aided design and computer-aided engineering application published by Dassault Systèmes.
  • SPSS is a structural equation modeling software to support research, test theories and study complex data relationships
  • ​StarRez is a campus housing application system.  It is used to reserve rooms, pay for room rent if billed monthly, and log maintenance work orders.
  • SteppingBlocks is a data analytics and career exploration platform designed to help individuals make informed decisions about education and career paths. It leverages a comprehensive database of educational outcomes and career trajectories to provide insights into job market trends, skills demand, and educational pathways.
  • Sunapsis is an application used to manage compliance of international students and research scholars
  • Symplicity Accomodate is software used by students requesting accommodation via Office of Students with Disabilities
  • Symplicity Advocate is a web application used for reporting red flag concerns and academic integrity issues at KSU
  • Tickets West is an online ticketing software for purchasing tickets at the Event Stadium, Convocation Center and Athletics.
  • Titanium is an HIPAA compliant electronic medical records application.
  • Turnitin is an Internet-based, plagiarism-detection service.  Turnitin solutions promote academic integrity, streamline grading and feedback, deter plagiarism, and improve student outcomes.
  • Virtual Owl is designed to provide you with a resource for downloading a "virtual desktop" on your personal computer. A virtual desktop is a simulated user interface with a collection of software programs that is located on a remote computer.
  • Visual Studio is an integrated development environment developed by Microsoft. It is used to develop computer programs including websites, web apps, web services and mobile apps
  • VoiceThread is a web-based application that allows you to put collections of images, videos, documents, and presentations at the center of an asynchronous course discussion. VoiceThread allows students and instructors to have discussions during a course, where participants can make comments on course materials and presentations using any mix of text, audio, or video. 
  • WinSCP is a free and open-source file manager client for Microsoft Windows and primarily for uploading files to remote servers or websites.
