Expand your Understanding of AI

KSU provides multiple avenues for you to sharpen your AI skills. Check out the resources below!

Artificial Intelligence is a field that has been developing slowly for decades, but now we see it everywhere. Learning the fundamentals of AI helps us to stay in the loop and enables us to contribute to the discussion of how we want to design our education and work environments.

Guidelines for AI Use at KSU

Live Training

  • Join us for an engaging workshop delving into the exciting world of Microsoft Copilot, a powerful AI (artificial intelligence) tool that can generate text, images, and summaries. Learn best practices for using Copilot securely to protect your data as you ask Copilot to answer questions, generate creative content, and even proofread your writing. Whether you’re looking to write a compelling story, create a unique image, or simply make your day-to-day tasks easier, this workshop will help you master AI at KSU.
  • UITS provides customized training on a variety of software applications, including Microsoft Copilot. We are happy to hold sessions for an entire student academic class upon request by the instructor, for an entire department, or for a smaller group of faculty and/or staff.

The content covered can be modified to fit within the time constraints of one or multiple meetings. In most cases, the course instructor or group representative will need to arrange for a computer lab large enough to accommodate his or her group. Details can be coordinated with our team.

How to request group technology training:

    1. Navigate to service.kennesaw.edu/technology.
    2. Log in (in the top-right corner) and authenticate using Duo.
    3. Select Service Request.
    4. From the menu on the left, select Software Support.
    5. Select Training Request for KSU Technology and complete the form. Here, you will indicate whether you would like to request individual or group training.
    6. Click Submit, and a UITS team member will be in touch with you soon (typically within 2–3 business days).

    Questions? Email service@kennesaw.edu.

  • UITS provides one-on-one training sessions for faculty and staff as well as students. The purpose of a one-on-one session is to address specific questions or cover a portion of an application.

    How to request one-on-one training:

All one-on-one sessions are conducted virtually through Microsoft Teams.

Please note that individual training sessions MUST be scheduled at least 36 hours in advance. These sessions are not intended as substitutes for workshops; they are to address specific issues and questions.
