KSU Network Access

KSU provides Wi-Fi for KSU students, faculty, and staff, as well as guests. Wireless users will need a wireless device that supports 802.11a, 802.11g, or 802.11n. Most modern devices meet this requirement. Wired connection assistance are available to faculty and staff through the KSU Service Desk.

Note: Guests have limited bandwidth and are restricted to Internet connectivity through a web browser. Additionally, guests are only able to access the Network between 6 a.m. and midnight.

KSU’s Virtual Private Network (VPN) creates a secure connection between your device and KSU’s network, protecting your data as well as the University’s. You should use the KSU VPN used any time you are working away from campus—especially when using public Wi-Fi.

The KSU VPN enables off-campus KSU students, faculty, and staff to enjoy the same online experience and network services available on campus. Faculty and staff can also use the KSU VPN to access their office Windows or Mac computer remotely.

To begin using the KSU VPN, follow these instructions to download and install the VPN software, GlobalProtect, on the device you will be using to remotely access KSU services.
