Marketing Campaign Timing
After a marketing project request is approved for StratComm support, the next step is to meet to determine the project scope and create a timeline. Good planning and communication will ensure that everyone involved has enough time and knowledge to do the best job possible. Listed below are the major steps:
-
Discovery and Fact-Finding:
A marketing team member, and possibly others, will meet with you to further understand your needs, the project scope, and the people involved in the project. We’ll also conduct market research.
Timing: 1 – 3 weeks depending on scope.
-
Planning:
We will develop the messaging and a tactical plan based on your budget and the research gathered. We will review the recommendations with you for input and approval.
Timing: 1 – 3 weeks depending on scope.
-
Budgeting:
We will work with you to request the vendor contracts, etc. and determine the submission process to secure the funding and POs supporting your campaign.
Timing: 1 – 8 weeks depending on vendor and amount of the contract.
-
Creative Concept Development:
Creative concepts for each marketing tactic, including messaging, graphics, web page content, emails, etc. will be developed. These drafts will be shared with you for your input and approval.
Timing: 2 – 4 weeks depending on scope.
-
Media Implementation:
The ads will be shared with media partners and built in the digital platforms. Web, email, video, or print deliverables will also be completed.
Timing: 2-4 weeks depending on scope.
-
Execution:
The campaign will launch. Leads will be delivered into TargetX (or other results shared), and specific activities will continue to aid in conversion. Tactics will be optimized to improve performance. Nondigital ads will be delivered to vendors per the campaign timeline. -
Campaign Updates:
You will receive campaign updates to keep you informed on performance and follow up on lead nurturing, information sessions, and other ongoing activities.
Timing: Updates will be delivered on the agreed upon cadence
-
Post Campaign Analyses:
A campaign wrap-up meeting will be held to discuss key learnings and determine next steps for future campaigns.
Timing: 4 – 6 weeks post campaign.
