Overview

The Department of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering is a multidisciplinary field of engineering that includes a blend of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science. Robotics and Mechatronics is a combination of ‘mechanical’ and ‘electronics’ and reflects the basic nature of this field, to integrate electrical and mechanical systems. Robotics and Mechatronics is a design process to create more function and adaptable products. With nearly a 100% employment rate for robotics and mechatronics engineering graduates and an average entry-level salary of $64,000 (recruiter.com), Kennesaw State University SPCEET’s robotics and mechatronics graduates enter a steadily growing job environment with unique hands-on experience.

Graduates of robotics and mechatronics engineering at SPCEET can select from a wide spectrum of industries for career choices and can contribute in a variety of roles including design engineer, software engineer, project planner, product designer, and project manager.

Mission

The mission of the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering at Kennesaw State University is to develop programs of academic excellence - where a focus on applied engineering prepares students for direct insertion in the workforce or the pursuit of advanced degree programs.
