Engineering Standing

The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering requires students to attain Engineering Standing before enrolling in upper-division courses. This ensures that students have the necessary academic foundation for advanced studies. The application process involves downloading and completing the relevant form for their major and submitting it to their academic advisor for processing. Non-engineering majors seeking to enroll in upper-level engineering courses for a minor or dual major must also meet the prerequisite requirements and maintain a 2.7 GPA in designated courses.
