Ensuring Outcomes for TESOL Programs
Our project, “Expanding Bi/Multilingual Teacher Pathways in Georgia through Kennesaw State University’s TESOL Programs,” will be rigorously evaluated by an independent team of experienced external evaluators. These evaluators bring expertise in program evaluation, educational research, and bilingual/multilingual education. Their role is to ensure the project meets its objectives and delivers high-quality outcomes for both teacher candidates (BTCs) and the students they serve.
The external evaluators will conduct ongoing assessments to measure the effectiveness of the project’s various components, including recruitment, training, and retention of BTCs. Using a mixed-methods approach, they will gather both qualitative and quantitative data from multiple stakeholders, including project team members and the BTCs. This evaluation process will involve surveys and interviews to capture a comprehensive view of the project’s impact.
The external evaluators will produce periodic reports, including mid-term and final evaluations, offering an objective review of the program’s achievements, challenges, and areas for further growth. Their findings will also help disseminate best practices and provide recommendations for scaling the project to other regions, ensuring its long-term sustainability and success.
Through this rigorous evaluation process, we are committed to ensuring accountability, transparency, and excellence in the delivery of our TESOL programs, benefiting both our BTCs and the students they support.
