This award recognizes a KSU staff member within the Administration and Finance Division who upholds the university’s values, Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, Inclusivity and Accountability. Nominators should provide specific examples and evidence of meeting the award criteria
Qualifications
This award will be presented to an Administration and Finance division staff member who:
- Has been employed at the University for more than three years.
- Has had no disciplinary concerns within the last twelve months.
- Has received an overall evaluation rating from their manager of either a “Superior” or “Exemplary” level (either a 4 or 5 overall).
Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess these characteristics:
- They are an impactful partner—someone who is collaborative and uses experiences, teamwork, and strategic thinking to drive success on their team and for the institution.
- They are a creative problem solver- someone who uses problem-solving skills to bring innovation to all facets of their job.
- They foster a positive culture on their team, developing, supporting, and empowering their team to reach their full potential.
- They provide phenomenal service to their coworkers, students, internal and external stakeholders, and the entire KSU community.
- They demonstrate integrity and respect in all aspects of their position.
- They continuously go above and beyond their standard job duties in order to improve the KSU experience for internal and external stakeholders.
- They contribute to the development of departmental and/or University initiatives.
- They demonstrate steadfast stewardship and fiscal responsibility by finding ways to improve processes and reduce costs.
- They demonstrate a commitment to inclusivity by fostering an environment where diverse perspectives are valued and respected.
- They demonstrate a high level of accountability by taking responsibility for their
actions and decisions.
Nomination Requirements
- In addition to the nomination form, please include at least two letters of support.
Letters of Support recommendations:
- Solicit letters from individuals with multiple perspectives (e.g., coworkers, past or present supervisors, KSU students, faculty members, staff in other departments, etc.). If you are not the nominee's direct supervisor, providing a letter from their direct supervisor is encouraged.
- Submit a letter or letters composed by groups of supporters.
- Letters of support must provide evidence the candidate meets or exceeds the above qualifications.
Please submit all nomination forms along with letters of support by January 31, 2025.
