Intramural Sports FAQs

  • Students and Faculty/Staff members at Kennesaw State are eligible participants. Georgia Highlands students may also be eligible for participation in on-campus programming. All participants must have paid the Sports and Recreation or enrolled in an eligible membership in the department. For full eligibility details, please review the Eligibility section in the Intramural Sports Participant Handbook.
  • Intramural Sports is a recreational program that encourages participation of any skill level. Anyone that is eligible and is interested in participation can join!
  • The Intramural Sports program strives to keep costs at a minimum for student participants. There is no cost associated with creating or joining teams, and most game equipment is provided on-site. If a team forfeits, the captain of the team will be charged a forfeit . Specific information can be found in the Intramural Sports Participant Handbook.
  • The Intramural Sports program is responsible for scheduling the games for all created teams within a sport. Practices or try-outs are not mandated nor scheduled by the program, however these can be held at the team’s discretion.
  • Intramural Sports are held on both the Kennesaw and Marietta Campuses at various locations. Programming may also be held off-campus in situations where a sport cannot be accommodated on-campus. Most programs are held in the evening between Monday and Thursday. Upon creating a team, the captain is able to select divisions based on day, time, and location.
  • Participants may choose to play on one Men’s or Women’s team and one CoRec team in a given sport. Playing for multiple Men’s, Women’s, or CoRec teams within the same sport may result in team forfeiture and suspension.
  • If you don’t have a team assembled or aren’t on a team, you can sign up as a Free Agent. You will be able to list some details about your history in the sport, when you are available to play, and can reach out to teams that are already created in the leagues you wish to play in. Please review the Free Agent section of the Intramural Sports Participant Handbook for more details.
