Open to all students, the Hispanic/Latino Outreach & Leadership in Academics (HOLA) Program provides dedicated cultural resources, academic support and peer mentorship uniquely tailored to the needs of this student population, while developing a sense of familia.

Contributions to the HOLA Program help support an array of services that help this population of students navigate college life by providing cultural enrichment programming, academic support, and professional development.

Our Space

The HOLA Lounge is a community space located in Willingham Hall, Room 121 D, designed for students to connect, create friendships, study, and socialize. The lounge provides students with access to computers, printers, a private study room, games, study supplies, and other academic resources. HOLA hosts monthly events and workshops in the lounge to promote student engagement and belonging. In addition, the HOLA Suite also provides students with a coffee/tea area, refrigerator, and microwave to use as needed.

Upcoming Programs and Events

Hispanic Heritage Month

Come celebrate Hispanic Heritage from September 15 – October 15 with KSU! HOLA will lead our Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations. Learn the importance of Latin American culture and celebrate our Latino community at KSU with multiple departments, organizations, and Greek life on campus! An entire month full of fun, food, music, and cultural activities.
Dia de Los Muertos

Day of the Dead (Dia De Los Muertos) is a two-day holiday that reunites the living and dead. Families create ofrendas (Offerings) to honor their departed family members who have passed. This festival will be a total cultural experience where you can immerse yourself in celebration through cultural education and activities!
Noche – Networking Night

Join our Community Networking and Outreach event to connect KSU Hispanic/Latino students with local community leaders and professionals in metro Atlanta. Explore mentorship, internship, and employment opportunities to promote diversity, leadership, and positive outcomes for students.
Latino Awards

The annual Latino Awards is co-hosted by the Alumni of Latin American Students (ALAS) and HOLA at the end of every Spring semester. This special event recognizes outstanding student leaders for their phenomenal work with the HOLA Program, Hispanic/Latino organizations, and dedication to KSU and the community.
