The Esports Program at KSU is looking for the best of the best to represent the university
in the intercollegiate esports space. There are two varsity titles within the KSU
Esports Program. They are League of Legends and Rocket League. For each of these titles,

Competition Clubs
The Esports Competition Clubs at Kennesaw State are student-run, student led clubs that focus on fielding teams to compete in intercollegiate competition against other colleges and universities in their respective game title. Don't be fooled, even though these groups are not considered "varsity" by the institution, they represent some of the most competitive players at KSU and have a strong track record of signature wins over other teams across the nation. Membership in a competition club is open to any KSU student, and even though each club will field multiple teams, competing on the top level team for each club is not guaranteed. Check out the list of all of our current clubs below to learn more.
Call of Duty
Call of Duty is a competitive cross-platform FPS game that requires excellent teamwork
and communication to succeed. Each match plays 3 game modes on different maps that
test the various skills of each team. Call of Duty releases a new title every year
with different guns, maps, and mechanics which creates a new learning curve and skill
gap every season. KSU will compete in a variety of tournaments on teams of 5 (4 players
and 1 coach). All players who tryout will be given an opportunity to join a team that
fits their play style.
Counter-Strike 2 is a multiplayer first-person shooter. The game pits two teams against
each other: the Terrorists and the Counter-Terrorists. Both sides are tasked with
eliminating the other while also completing separate objectives. Kennesaw State University
has placed Top 8 in the 2019-2020 CSL Season.
Apex Legends is a fast-paced cross-platform that consists of two modes: battle royale
and 3v3 arenas. Respawn Entertainment keeps their players coming back for more with
brand new seasons, guns, map changes, skins, legends, and tons of new cosmetics. To
be the best in their sever-changing game, teamwork and communication are key. The
KSU Apex Legends Competition Club will be competing in a diverse group of tournaments,
where teams can put their skills to the test to win a variety of different prizes!
This is a club that welcomes all Fortnite players that attend KSU. This club is formed
for the sole purpose of having a competitive and fun environment for all Fortnite
players attending KSU.
League of Legends is the most played PC game worldwide. Our competition club is responsible
for fielding teams in collegiate competitions throughout the Fall and Spring semesters
along with providing a home for anyone wanting to join the LoL community at KSU. If
you're looking to compete versus other schools on teams of varying skill levels or
looking for friends to play league with, this is the place to join!
Overwatch 2 is a fast-paced, competitive class-based FPS game with a heavy emphasis
on team play and ability usage. Currently, we have two teams, the A-Team, our main
competing roster, and the B-Team, being more of a for-fun experience, and we hope
to add more soon. Our Overwatch 2 A-Team has been competing for just over three years
now. Our second year, we were able to take top 16 in Tespa Collegiate Nationals, and
over the past two years, we've been able to win a few local tournaments as well. Whether
you play casually or are interested in joining a team, we would love for you to join
our community of current and past KSU students on Discord!
The KSU Siege club is a group of competitive players who are constantly striving to
better themselves as individuals and teams. We are comprised of 3 main rosters competing
in various leagues across the siege community. We have annual tryouts in August for
every team. If you have any questions feel free to join the discord. We welcome you
to the KSU Rainbow Six Siege competition club!
The KSU Rocket League club sets up tryouts at the beginning of each semester in order
to place participants on teams of 4 or 5 (3 starters + 1 or 2 substitutes) to participate
in a variety of Collegiate Rocket League tournaments. Some of these tournaments can
reach up to $75,000 in prize pool scholarship money! So start your engines and join
us on the pitch below.
As the largest Fighting Game Community, Smash Ultimate provides an active community
for those seeking to compete at all levels. Here at KSU Collegiate Smash we provide
a link into the larger smash community, the ability to practice with players, and
structured team competitions with other collegiate league. The Collegiate Smash Ultimate
participates to two formats: 5v5 Crew Battles and 1v1 competition. With our qualification
into regional last year we hope to continue the push to standing of KSU in the greater
Collegiate Smash Ultimate scene.

to enjoy their time in our CC but will have a main focus on competitions. The club
will be the main place to find customs, ranked buddies, and more within Valorant.
It will also potentially host watch parties of major pro tournys and be a fun place
to discuss and share everything Valorant for casuals and competitive players alike.
