Parking Permit Refund Policy

The university has updated the refund policy for parking permits. Refunds will now be available only up to specific cutoff dates each semester.

Refund Deadlines:

  • Spring 2025 Permits: Last refund date is Saturday, February 15, 2025..
  • Fall/Spring 2024-25 Permits: Last refund date is Saturday, March 8, 2025.

Proration tables are available on our website for detailed information on refund amounts based on these dates.

  • Permit Types

    Term Valid From Valid To
    Fall/Spring 2024 - 25 August 1, 2024 May 10, 2025
    Fall 2024 August 1, 2024 December 31, 2024
    Spring 2025 January 1, 2025 May 10, 2025

The permit type you select allows you to park in that area on both the Kennesaw and Marietta Campuses. For example, if you select a Central Parking permit, you are able to park in the Central Parking Deck on the Kennesaw Campus and the Central Lots on the Marietta Campus. Note that the names of parking areas on the Marietta Campus have changed, so please review the map above before selecting your parking area.

Please note that students who choose a Fall/Spring 2024-25 Permit will be charged the permit amount times two semesters (fall/spring). Students who choose a single semester permit will be charged the value of the permit they select for one semester only (Fall 2024, Spring 2025, Summer 2025). The charge will appear on Owl Express the day after completing your permit selection.

If you plan to attend classes in the fall and spring semesters, we recommend purchasing a Fall/Spring 2024-25 permit to secure your preferred parking area for the fall and spring semesters.

If you only plan to attend classes for a single semester, we recommend selecting a single semester permit. It's important to note that your permit will not renew. If you return to campus for the next semester, you will need to pick a new permit from the parking areas available once the permits are released each semester.

Your vehicle’s license plate serves as your virtual parking permit; therefore, once you have selected a permit, you need to keep your license plate information for any vehicle that you plan to drive to campus current in your account. There are no physical parking permit decals.
