Freshman Students

New Student Orientation is required for all new freshman undergraduate students (under 30 credit hours). New freshman students will register for their first semester classes during their orientation session.

Transfer Students

Orientation is not required for new transfer students. Transfer students should complete the  KSU Orientation Modules  prior to course registration. Optional  special events are available for new transfer students in collaboration with KSU Admissions.

International Students

International Student Orientation is required for all new international students (undergraduate and graduate). International students should  register for classes  before attending orientation.

Dual Enrollment Students

Students participating in KSU’s Dual Enrollment Program are required to attend a  Dual Enrollment Orientation  session, hosted by KSU Admissions.

Other Student Types

Orientation is not required for readmit, transient, continuing, and auditing students. Graduate students will receive information about program orientations from the Graduate College.
