Recruiting more Latina teachers in Georgia’s K-12 schools is crucial for fostering diversity, inclusion, and cultural responsiveness. While Latino students make up 18% of the K-12 population, Latina teachers account for only 2.7%. Increasing representation enhances student outcomes, provides role models, and promotes cultural competence.
Prioritizing their recruitment ensures a more equitable and inclusive education system
for all.
