Research Training

Register below for CITI training and Blood Lab training to participate in essential field research and data collection happening in the fields of exercise science and sport management. Ensure that all previous required trainings have been completed before registering. 

Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI)

CITI training is required for any faculty, staff, or student wishing to participate in research and data collection.

The following link below will provide you with the appropriate site to register for CITI training.

  • You will register as a student researcher – undergraduate.
  • You are required to do students conducting no more than minimal risk research.
  • If you plan to work with blood, you will also need to complete the CITI biomedical training.

  • If you are a returning student or have been formally admitted to KSU, contact our Advising Center for the specific degree program in which you are interested.

    If you are new to KSU you should contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to begin your application process.

  • Please read KSU's Grade Appeal Procedures. If you feel that you are within your rights to appeal a grade, fill out the Grade Appeal Form and submit it to the Department Chair.
  • In 2012, the HPS Department was reorganized to create two new departments: Department of Exercise Science and Sport Management and Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education.
  • KSU does not offer a degree program in Physical Therapy. However, students often enroll in Wellstar College's Exercise Science program, and, following the completion of this degree, students have successfully applied to prominent Physical Therapy programs throughout Georgia and the nation.
  • Any third attempt requires Department Chair approval. Download and complete the ESSM third attempt approval form and email it to your program coordinator, who will review the form and forward to the chair.
