ProctorU

Students will no longer be responsible for covering ProctorU testing fees. Instructors wishing to use ProctorU's services to administer exams should coordinate with their academic department and/or college to cover ProctorU fees.

ProctorU provides students the option to take exams at home or other off-campus locations with online proctoring. Using a webcam, microphone, and a reliable high-speed Internet connection, students can take exams anywhere. To get started using ProctorU, follow the steps below:

  1. Create an account. Go proctoru and create your profile by clicking the Sign Up tab, then selecting the Instructor. Be sure to use your KSU NetID as your user name when creating your profile.
  2. The information in the documents below will allow you to visualize the exam from a student's perspective and will assist you in creating and adding your exams in ProctorU.

Final Exams

The Testing Center features an online application for faculty members teaching online courses to submit requests for the testing staff to proctor computer-based exams at the Testing Center. Please note the procedures for requesting testing services for Final Exams.

The Testing Center will be open Monday through Friday during the Final Exam period as prescribed in the University’s Academic Calendar / Final Exam schedule posted by the Registrar’s Office. We support instructors of online courses by providing a place for their students to take their exams in a proctored environment.

Choosing to use our service gives your students the flexibility to schedule their exams within the Final Exam window.  This open schedule option does not violate the University’s Final Exam Conflict Period.

Final Exam requests should be submitted to the Testing Center in the two-week window from four to two weeks before the first day of each semester. Testing Center staff will provide feedback to each request no later than one week before the start of the semester so instructors can capture Final Exam instructions in their syllabi.
