Are you a Kennesaw State student interested in learning more about fraternities and sororities on campus? We pulled together some frequently asked questions about Greek life at KSU.
At Kennesaw State, all social Greek Life falls under the Department of Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL). Their goal is to enhance the college experience of 35 fraternities and sororities and provide opportunities for campus connections and leadership.
There are 35 chapters across 4 councils, including 14 culturally based organizations.
There is a 2.5 minimum GPA requirement for Potential New Members, but specific chapters may require a higher GPA.
Bid - An invitation to join a fraternity or sorority.
Bid Day - The final day of a recruitment period when bids are distributed.
Chapter - The campus group of a national organization.
CPC - College Panhellenic Council.
IFC - Interfraternity Council.
Legacy - Someone who has a relationship to the sorority/fraternity due to a biological connection
with an existing member (e.g., mother, brother, or grandmother).
MGC - Multicultural Greek Council.
NPHC - National Pan-Hellenic Council.
PNM - Potential New Member.
August 4th-10th - CPC Recruitment
August 14th - WOW-A-Palooza
August 22nd - Yard Show
August 23rd-30th - IFC Recruitment
August 25th - NPHC Convocation
August 28th - Hangin’ with MGC
August 31st - MGC Convocation
September 24th - Hooty Hoo’s Got Talent
September 27th - Stomp Out Violence
