Discover some of KSU's Clubs for Black students.

In honor of Black History Month, we’re highlighting registered student organizations on campus who uplift and support Black students in their academic and social endeavors.

1.  Yes, She Reads Book Club

Yes, She Reads is a vibrant book club dedicated to creating a welcoming space for Black women to share their love for reading, explore diverse stories, and connect through casual conversations and meaningful character analysis.

2. #BlackTeachersMatter

Calling all Black education majors! #BTM helps educators navigate and center a variety of Black perspectives in the field of education.

3. African American Male Initiative

Located in the Carmichael Student Center (Room 263), AAMI provides an integrated program model of academic, leadership, and life skills to increase the number of participants who complete their post-secondary education.

8. Black Student Association

BSA’s mission is to advocate for the needs of KSU students while empowering, teaching, discussing, and exploring the Black experience.

9. Black Women Empowered

BWE is a safe space for Black women as they enter their respective career industries by providing networking opportunities, mentorship, unity, and leadership training.

 10. Black Women in Healthcare at KSU

If you’re working toward a healthcare career, this organization is for you. BWH aims to inspire diversity, inclusivity, and excellence within the healthcare industry, ensuring that the contributions of Black women in healthcare continue to grow and inspire future generations.

11. ColorStack at KSU

STEM students, this one is for you! ColorStack provides resources and opportunities to Black and Latinx tech-related majors to help jumpstart careers in the tech industry.

Society of Black Engineers

4. Black Honors Society

To celebrate the Black community's diverse cultural heritage and contributions, the Black Honors Society cultivates a supportive and empowering environment that celebrates and advocates for the achievements, cultural richness, and advancement of Black scholars.

5. Black Musicians Coalition

Fresh off a stellar performance at the MLK Legacy Breakfast, the Black Musicians Coalition showcases and represents Black artists, allowing them to express themselves freely.

6. Black Ownership Leadership Determination Student Organization

Part of KSU’s Black Studies Department, BOLD emphasizes Black ownership, leadership, and determination.

7. Black Storm Cheer Squad

Always bringing the energy, the Black Storm Cheer Squad is a stomp-and-shake cheer organization that fosters cheer skills, choreographs routines, and performs in competitive and community events.

12. Kennesaw Society of Black Engineers

A branch of the National Society of Black Engineers, KSBE’s mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.

13. National Association of Black Accountants

NABA, Inc. is a nonprofit membership association dedicated to bridging the opportunity gap for Black professionals in the accounting, finance, and related business professions.

14. Progressive Black Men, Incorporated

Chartered at KSU in 2020, Progressive Black Men strives to promote positive images of African American men through academic excellence, communal support, and fellowship.

15. Black Student Psychology Association

BSPA is a vibrant community dedicated to supporting Black undergraduate students with a passion for psychology with academic, professional, and social assistance.

16. SISTUHS, Incorporated

SISTUHS, Inc. fosters an environment to learn about the history and role women of color have in society. These women develop local leadership to respond to community needs, particularly those of women.
