The Center for Young Adult Addiction and Recovery will host training sessions throughout each semester to teach students, faculty, and staff how to administer Naloxone, a medication that reverses the effects of an opioid overdose. At the end of this training the participants will be able to: Identify potential warning signs of an overdose Operate and administer Naloxone in the event of an overdose Identify how Naloxone works Understand the Georgia Medical Amnesty Law Practice with Naloxone test kits Each person who attends & completes training is provided a free Naloxone kit. RSVP is required for training.
