The purpose of the Student Government Association is to: REPRESENT the students of Kennesaw State University; SERVE as a liaison between students and members of the University community within the shared governance structure; actively strive to ENHANCE student success; FOSTER an environment of campus engagement; and ADVOCATE on behalf of the students’ welfare in accordance with KSU statutes, student codes of conduct, and the policies of the Board of Regents.

Taejah Goode President of Student Government-Association

President Taejah Goode

Taejah Goode is a Political Science major with a minor in History, who has been a dedicated member of the Student Government Association since his freshman year in 2021. From starting as an intern to serving as the first Judicial Branch Clerk, becoming a Justice, and then the Senator for the Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Taejah has gained invaluable experience and insight into the workings of student advocacy.

Through his involvement on advisory committees and participation in the Student Advisory Council for the University System of Georgia, Taejah continues to prioritize student advocacy. As President, he is committed to ensuring students feel heard, emphasizing that college should always center around the needs and voices of the student body, especially given the investment they make in their education.

Keely Gerety - Vice President of Student Government Association

Vice President Keely Gerety

Keely Gerety is the Vice President of SGA, dedicated to fostering student engagement, a sense of belonging, and active participation within the campus community.

Keely is passionate about student advocacy and creating a strong sense of community at KSU. She is a senior majoring in geo-spatial science with a minor in geography. In addition to her leadership role within SGA, Keely has a deep interest in travel, geomorphology, land use, and project management, which inspires her understanding of the connection between the built and natural world. Keely’s multifaceted interests drive her commitment to community building for the state of Georgia and the Kennesaw State community, making her a well-rounded leader and advocate for the students of KSU.

Judicial Branch

The Judicial Branch of the Kennesaw State University Student Government Association, is hereby established with the purpose to better uphold the integrity and stability of our institutions. Thereby, The Judicial Branch, entitled as The Supreme Court, strives to coexist with the Legislative and Executive branches of the Student Government Association so as to hold the entirety of this organization to a higher standard. It is expected, by passing down judicial precedent, to erase errors made in our history and to ensure the equity of our posterity. The Supreme Court, having been entrusted with the power and responsibility of original jurisdiction concerning questions of constitutionality, appeals of membership infractions, and appeals of election violations, sets forth to ensure a fair and just due-process for all members of the Kennesaw State University Student Government Association.
