Innovation Launch Pad
*The application period for the 2024 Innovation Launch Pad is open.*
Ever thought about building a business to ensure your research reaches its potential? Curious to explore how your research could turn into a business? The Innovation Launch Pad (ILP) is a 5-session (June-July 2024) workshop, followed by asynchronous coaching, modeled on the National Science Foundation Innovation Corps program and supported by the KSU Office of Research and the HatchBridge Incubator.
The purpose is to provide training and guidance to KSU faculty, staff, students, and community partners on the principles of lean start-up methodology and customer discovery to advance their entrepreneurial concepts to consumer markets.
ILP participants are eligible for up to $3,000 to support customer conversations using the customer discovery/customer development methodology outlined in the program curriculum. Teams will propose fund usage and those applications will be reviewed and approved promptly by ILP staff and administrators. Typical items funded includes conferences with a large concentration of customers or travel to a location with key customers.
