Kennesaw State
Kennesaw State University ranks among the best in the nation for the quality of its campuses and its on-campus dining, according to the 2025 Best Colleges report by the ranking and review site Niche.

Kennesaw State is ranked No. 7 nationally and No. 2 in Georgia among Best College Campuses, and No. 9 in the nation and No. 1 in Georgia in the Best College Food category. Additionally, KSU places in the top 100 in the U.S. for Best College Athletics (No. 50) and Colleges with the Best Student Life (No. 87), while also earning top-10 rankings in Georgia in 18 categories.

“This recognition helps demonstrate our commitment to providing an outstanding environment for our students, faculty, and staff,” said Kathy S. Schwaig, president of Kennesaw State University. “As we advance our strategic plan toward achieving national prominence, this recognition reaffirms that we are on the right path. Our vision is to create an exemplary educational experience that not only stands out locally but also resonates on a national level. This ranking is both a celebration of our progress and a motivating force as we continue to strive for excellence."

Aligning with KSU’s No. 7 national ranking in Best College Campuses, the University has made recent additions to the Kennesaw Campus, including the Academic Learning Center and The Summit residence hall, as well as completing a project this summer to expand pedestrian paths and remove vehicular traffic from the campus center. Projects on the Marietta Campus include a recent renovation to the Crawford Lab Building and construction of a STEM building set to open next fall, creating more opportunities for collaborative research across multiple academic disciplines.

The top-10 recognition for Best College Food is the latest accolade for award-winning University Dining, which has received several national rankings for the quality of KSU’s on-campus food options. Further enhancing that reputation, a summer renovation of The Commons Dining Hall on the Kennesaw Campus upgraded the serving areas and dining rooms.

Kennesaw State’s ranking of No. 50 nationally and No. 3 in Georgia for Best College Athletics comes as KSU Athletics is in its inaugural year of competing in Conference USA and the highest level of college football, the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). Also, work has begun on a new baseball stadium, spearheaded by a major gift from longtime KSU supporter Mickey Dunn, that will open in 2025.

Niche’s Best Colleges rankings are based on analysis of each school’s academic, admissions, financial, and student life data along with reviews from students and alumni. The statistics obtained from the U.S. Department of Education represent the most recent data available, as self-reported by the colleges.
