Kennesaw State’s online degree programs rank among best in nation

Kennesaw State University’s online programs have been ranked among the best in the nation by U.S. News & World Report in its “2023 Best Online Programs” and “2023 Best Online Programs for Veterans” lists released today. 

Among universities in Georgia, Kennesaw State had the highest ranked graduate degree programs in computer information technology and engineering. Other programs from Kennesaw State, including nursing, business administration, and education, were also ranked.

The Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) program in KSU’s College of Computing and Software Engineering climbed to the No. 25 spot in the overall rankings nationally and was the top institution in Georgia. Also, this degree program earned a top 12 ranking in the national rankings for veterans’ programs, the only one in Georgia to be recognized.  

In engineering, Kennesaw State’s Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology earned a top 100 place in the rankings at No. 82 nationally while also earning the designation of being the highest ranked Georgia institution for online graduate programs.

Kennesaw State’s online MBA program for veterans ranked 68th and ranked 102 nationally in the overall rankings. The online master’s degree programs in the Bagwell College of Education landed 89th overall while the graduate nursing programs in the Wellstar College of Health and Human Services ranked No. 124 nationally.

The University offers 25 fully online master’s degree programs, 17 bachelor’s degree programs, three specialist degree programs, and three doctoral degree programs.

The U.S. News rankings evaluate degree-granting online programs at regionally accredited institutions that are offered 100 percent online. Now in its 12th year, the 2023 rankings assessed more than 1,700 online degree programs at colleges and universities throughout the nation.
