KENNESAW, Ga. | Jul 8, 2021
In what has been a record-breaking year for enrollment, more than 20,300 have enrolled in the Summer 2021 semester at Kennesaw State University, with graduate programs seeing a nearly 9 percent increase since last year. The leap in enrollment reflects an overall increase each year for the past three years.
KSU’s College of Architecture and Construction Management and the Wellstar College of Health and Human Services saw the biggest gains with enrollment increases of 18 percent and 10 percent over last summer, respectively.
In Fall 2020, KSU set a record by welcoming nearly 41,000 students to campus, becoming Georgia’s second-largest institution by enrollment.
"Increasingly, students are discovering that the summer semester presents a wonderful opportunity to stay on course and earn their degrees on time," KSU interim president Kathy Schwaig said. "Their eagerness to take advantage of the condensed format not only reflects their dedication but also speaks to the world-class learning environment our faculty have cultivated at KSU.”
KSU’s summer graduate enrollment is bolstered by 85 graduate programs and certificates, including a new Master of Science in Cybersecurity program. This fall, the University will launch additional graduate programs, including
a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Engineering, a Master of Science in Intelligent Robotic Systems, a Master of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics and a Master of Arts in Art and Design.
“We are thrilled to see so many new faces across our graduate programs as we continue to diversify our portfolio of offerings and adapt to industry needs as they arise,” said Sheb True, dean of the College of Graduate and Professional Education.
