Kennesaw State

Kennesaw State University has earned national recognition for its undergraduate instruction and first-year student initiatives in the U.S. News & World Report 2022 Best Colleges rankings, released today.

Kennesaw State is ranked among the top 40 schools nationally in the Best Undergraduate Teaching category, recognizing the quality and diversity of the degree programs offered to KSU’s more than 36,000 undergraduate students. Also, KSU placed among the top 55 schools in the nation for First-Year Experiences in U.S. News’ Programs to Look For ratings.

“Our national ranking in these categories reflects Kennesaw State’s commitment to student success,” KSU Interim President Kathy Schwaig said. “We are dedicated to helping our first-year students make the transition to college and then continue to stay on track to earn a degree. Along the way, our students know that they will be taught by world-class faculty in relevant, in-demand fields.”

In addition, Kennesaw State rose 16 spots from last year to No. 75 among Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs and earned a spot in U.S. News’ inaugural Undergraduate Nursing Programs rankings. KSU also is ranked nationally in the publication’s Undergraduate Business and Undergraduate Computer Science categories.

Again this year, Kennesaw State is listed among the nation’s top national universities, a category U.S. News defines as institutions offering a wide range of undergraduate majors as well as master’s and doctoral degrees, and also being committed to conducting impactful research. U.S. News assessed nearly 1,500 bachelor's degree-granting institutions and recognized 391 with the National Universities designation, using criteria such as retention and graduation rates, assessment by peers and counselors, faculty resources, student selectivity, graduation rate and alumni giving.
