Premier Lacrosse League will play June 6-7 at KSU Sports and Entertainment Park
The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) announced today that the league will return to the Atlanta area for the upcoming 2020 season. Kennesaw State University’s Fifth Third Bank Stadium will host three regular season PLL matchups on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7.
“Returning to Atlanta for our second season was truly a no-brainer,” said PLL co-founder and chief strategy officer Paul Rabil. “We had a fantastic turnout in the area last summer as fans packed the stadium to see local stars like Myles Jones and Scott Ratliff. We continuously see a surge in lacrosse popularity year-over-year throughout this region and we can’t wait to come back this summer.”
Atlanta now becomes the second host city to be announced by the league ahead of the 2020 campaign after Boston/Gillette Stadium (opening weekend). Remaining 2020 locations will be unveiled over the next several months. PLL games will be broadcast throughout the summer on NBC, NBCSN, and NBC Sports Gold — the network’s direct-to-consumer streaming platform.
“We are thrilled to have professional lacrosse back in our stadium,” said Zach Kerns, executive director of KSU’s Department of Event and Venue Management. “This will be another opportunity for Kennesaw State to welcome visitors from across the region to our stadium.”
