KSU’s April Johnson, Kerwin Swint share insight in latest installment of ‘Political Futures’

Kennesaw State University professor April Johnson discusses the political psychology of a national crisis in the latest episode of the “Political Futures” podcast hosted by KSU colleague Kerwin Swint.

Johnson’s expertise includes research on the effects that people’s emotions have on political actions and decisions. Along with the toll being taken on the economy and people’s personal lives, the coronavirus outbreak is wreaking havoc with the political calendar, including the presidential campaign, state-level primaries and legislative sessions. Johnson and Swint discuss the psychological distress caused by the daily uncertainty and disruption during the pandemic.

Swint, director of the School of Government and International Affairs at Kennesaw State, provides a non-partisan perspective on current events on “Political Futures.”
