This is an important week at KSU as we open the 2019-20 academic year. Yesterday, we welcomed a record-breaking number of new and returning students with a First Day of School Cake celebration on both campuses. We partnered that event this year with the launch of our new “Find Your Wings” branding campaign, which will signal to all the values and opportunities available at Kennesaw State University. – August 20, 2019
Celebrating the New Semester
Shortly after attending her first class as a Kennesaw State University freshman, Alexis Martin made her way to the Campus Green where she was greeted by gold balloons, a six-foot vanilla sheet cake and hundreds of her fellow students. – August 20, 2019

Taking Flight
In 2013, two students came up with an idea. They wanted to run an extended orientation camp for incoming students run by students. After approaching the dean of students with their idea, Owl Expedition was born. From there, Orientation and Transitions programs at Kennesaw State University, helped these students bring the first camp to life in 2014. – August 16, 2019
Michael Whitman to lead Institute for Cybersecurity Workforce Development
Kennesaw State University has selected Michael Whitman, professor of information security and assurance, to serve as executive director of the Institute for Cybersecurity Workforce Development (ICWD), home to the University’s top-ranked online cybersecurity degree. – August 15, 2019
