Kennesaw State to Unveil New Branding

Brand reveal to be capped by First Day of School Cake celebration

Kennesaw State University will celebrate the start of another fall semester with the unveiling of its new institutional branding in a series of events on its two campuses.
 
Who:
Kennesaw State administrators, students, faculty and staff.
 
What:
KSU President Pamela Whitten and the Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing will unveil the institution’s new branding, the result of a yearlong effort to better define the University’s purpose in the landscape of higher education and identify what it means to be an Owl. During the event, guests will have a glimpse behind the scenes on how KSU’s new mission, vision and values were crafted and have a first look at a series of commercials set to air in conjunction with the launch of the new brand, after which the guests will have an opportunity to take part host of interactive booths tied to the new branding.
 
During the event, President Whitten will cut the First Day of School Cake, continuing a family tradition she started with her eldest child about 26 years ago before introducing it at KSU last year.
 
When:
Monday, August 19
11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the Kennesaw Campus
3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the Marietta Campus
 
Throughout the first few weeks of the fall semester, KSU will be bustling with activity. Other events on campus include:

  • Move-In Weekend on the Kennesaw Campus on August 16-17 and on the Marietta Campus on August 17.
  • First-Year Convocation in the Convocation Center on August 18.
  • The University’s Week of Welcome will hold a series of events beginning August 16 and ending August 31.
