Celebrate and learn April 14

Celebrate the visual arts at Kennesaw State University on Saturday, April 14, from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. during the free Spring Arts Festival. New this year, the annual indoor/outdoor community event will offer an expanded artist’s market with booths of artwork by local and traveling artists.

Music, fun and food, along with free art demonstrations and workshops, highlight the many popular activities. From face painting, portraits and drawing, to digital painting and Raku ceramics firing, children and adults will find exciting possibilities to explore, including 3D printing and creating digital Mother’s Day cards.

Major attractions in and around the Visual Arts Building include an iron pour, glass blowing and blacksmithing demonstrations.

Local artists and students can show off their art skills through the virtual art gallery, psychic drawing or Pin-Up show. The Pin-Up show allows them to compete in five categories: elementary, middle, high school, community and “Art from the Heart” for students with special needs.
