KSU to face Jacksonville State at SunTrust Park
Fresh off of its second consecutive Big South Conference championship, Kennesaw State is gearing up for a historic matchup against Jacksonville State on Saturday, Nov. 17, in the first football game at SunTrust Park, home of the Atlanta Braves.
Currently ranked No. 2 nationally, the Owls are on a nine-game winning streak after downing Monmouth 51-14 last week to claim the program’s second conference title in four years of existence. Kennesaw State has won 17 straight regular season games against Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) opponents entering this week’s matchup against the No. 6-ranked Gamecocks. Jacksonville State won its fifth consecutive Ohio Valley Conference championship last week with a win over Tennessee State.
The game, which will be televised on FOX Sports Southeast and streamed on the FOX Sports app beginning at 3 p.m., features KSU’s first top-10 football matchup in program history and is a rematch of last year’s second round playoff game in which the Owls won 17-7, earning their first FCS quarterfinals appearance.
