Paulding Site grants have students Upward Bound
Kennesaw State University’s Paulding Site has a staff of three people, and that small group is making a significant difference for local high school students who want to attend college. The Paulding Site recently was awarded two Upward Bound grants and one Upward Bound Math-Science grant from the U.S. Department of Education, totaling more than $3.9 million, to assist students in Paulding and Polk counties. – October 30, 2017

Hours before the seventh annual Pumpkin Launch, seven Kennesaw State University students walked their wooden-framed launcher onto the field between Howell and Norton halls on the Marietta Campus. Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré speaks on Oct. 25
— Army Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré brought calm and order to the chaos after hurricanes Katrina and Rita ravaged the Gulf Coast in 2005. Honoré, who retired from the Army in 2008 after 37 years of service, will speak candidly about what it takes to be prepared for the challenges of the 21st century. He also is expected to address the recent controversy over the handling of recovery efforts in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria. – October 25, 2017
KSU's 'potential is without limits'
Kennesaw State University celebrated the next chapter in its history Thursday with the investiture of Samuel S. Olens as its fourth president. The investiture officially conferred the duties and responsibilities of the office to Olens, who became Kennesaw State’s president on Nov. 1, 2016. KSU faculty, staff and students joined elected officials, University System of Georgia officials, and higher education colleagues from throughout the state for the formal academic ceremony at the University’s Convocation Center. – October 19, 2017

AMPed Up!
The College of Science and Mathematics (CSM) at Kennesaw State University successfully launched a new program this fall for 130 first-year students who plan to major in math or science. These high-achieving students, identified on the basis of such factors as math SAT or ACT scores and high school grade point averages, entered Kennesaw State as a cohort. – October 18, 2017
Horses in the Sky
The Department of Dance at Kennesaw State University will present “Horses in the Sky” by Israel’s Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company (KCDC) on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 8 p.m. at the Dance Theater on the Marietta Campus. This world-renowned Company is the first for KSU Dance in presenting a series of professional companies at the new Dance Theater. – October 17, 2017
