    KSU's graduate enrollment increases for summer term

    Summer enrollment for graduate students at Kennesaw State University increased more than 14 percent over last year, of which 6 percent are newly admitted and 24 percent are returning graduate students, according to data from the Graduate College. This increase represents the third consecutive year that enrollment in KSU’s graduate programs have grown. Over the past three years, including fall, spring and summer semesters, the University has experienced an average increase of 9 percent in graduate enrollment.

    More than 3,500 spring graduates earn degrees from Kennesaw State

    Their official ceremony may be postponed, but more than 3,500 Kennesaw State University students are graduating this week. The May 2020 class of 3,512 graduate candidates – 2,893 undergraduate and 619 graduate students – marks an increase from last spring’s 3,400 graduates. The students are earning their degrees and receiving their diplomas after KSU transitioned to fully remote learning midway through the semester because of the coronavirus outbreak, which also caused the May Commencement ceremonies to be postponed.

    WellStar Health System contributes nearly $9 million to expand KSU nursing program

    February 14, 2020

    Building on their longstanding relationship, Kennesaw State and WellStar Health System are partnering to address Georgia’s nursing shortage. In support of the University’s goal of doubling enrollment in its nursing program, WellStar will provide a $2.5 million gift to create an endowment that will fund annual nursing scholarships in perpetuity, and a grant worth $6.2 million over five years to fund the hiring of new nursing faculty and support staff.
