Our work ensures that KSU continues to comply with applicable laws and policies as it pursues its vision of academic excellence and national prominence.  Our representative services include:

  1. Providing legal advice to campus administrators to assist in their daily decision-making
  2. Reviewing and drafting contracts
  3. Responding to Open Records Act requests on behalf of the University
  4. Handling all legal matters related to the University’s operation
  5. Supporting KSU’s research enterprise
  6. Counseling clients on the best strategies for risk mitigation and data privacy
  7. Providing training on laws and policies impacting the work of our faculty and staff, and the experiences of our students

The Division provides services to KSU administrators, faculty and staff who are acting on behalf of the university.
