  • DLI can create audio descriptions for videos, which provide narrated descriptions of visual elements, benefiting students with visual impairments.

  • All videos uploaded into Kaltura MediaSpace are automatically captioned at roughly 85% accuracy.  Editing these to be compliant at 95% or higher is easy enough.  However, there are situations when we need a little extra help. DLI provides professional captioning services.

  • Faculty and staff can request one-on-one consultations from the Accessibility Pod of the DLI team to receive personalized assistance with accessibility issues. These consultations can help them understand and address accessibility challenges in their course materials, such as formatting documents with proper heading structures, providing alternative text for images, and ensuring that interactive resources are accessible.
