Our department offers the degrees of BS in IT, BAS in IT and an MS in IT, all of which include an online option. The department participates in PhD in CS, PhD in Data Analytics, and BS in Cybersecurity. Our curriculum incorporates knowledge in information technology, computing, and software engineering to graduate our students with a comprehensive academic background and strong hands-on skills. Our faculty are actively pursuing research, seeking grants, and mentoring students in projects. The department takes great pride in collaborating with many industry sponsors to provide real-world projects to our students in courses and capstones. Information Technology Affordable Learning Grants

The Department of Information Technology at Kennesaw State University (KSU) has made department-wide efforts to adopt open educational resources (OER) in both undergraduate and graduate courses and housing both Z-Degrees since 2020. Thanks to strong support from Affordable Learning Georgia (ALG), all the courses from the MSIT program have now replaced their textbooks with no-cost-to-student OER learning materials. Information technology is an ever-changing field; it is very important to keep our courses updated. The degree program periodically undergoes curriculum revision every three years.

IT faculty devoted their time and efforts to update the courses and develop new courses. All undergraduate and graduate courses are textbook-free now. It can save thousands of dollars for each student when pursue the degree in IT.
