COOP 2000 (Audit Credit for Rotating Co-ops)
KSU's Cooperative Education (co-op) program is built around three alternating semesters over a five-semester period with the same company in a position that provides experience directly related to your academic major. Students in these positions are paid a wage.
Requirements for participation:
- A full-time (40 hours per week) co-op position, with full-time course enrollment during school terms between work terms
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior class level status (also some graduate students with a declared eligible major); at least 30 completed credit hours; and a 2.50KSU GPA
- At least one completed semester at KSU prior to beginning the co-op position
- Attendance at a cooperative education (co-op) workshop
NOTE: this is an audit course which offers 12 audit credits to students working in a full-time co-op
***All requests for co-op credit must be initiated prior to each semester's deadline. KSU does not give retroactive co-op credit***

- Retroactive credit may be given if proof of experiential activity can be provided, either through enrollment in FTA 3890, IS 4000, IS project lab, IS 4400, or IS study abroad course
- For an experience to qualify for 3 credits:
- The experience must involve at least 150 hours of experiential activity over the course of the semester through an internship, co-op or recent or on-going employment
- On-going employment: if you are currently working with the employer with whom you would like to obtain credit, you would be eligible with a promotion, transfer or significant new duties to commence in enrollment semester or semester immediately preceding enrollment semester
