Artist Biography
Since enrolling in elementary school, I have always been interested in creating/developing works of art. Art has always been the one thing, besides my family, that has brought me peace on this earth. In being that, I sought to continue to pursue digital animation at Kennesaw State University. From finger paintings to digital illustrations, my abilities in conjuring works have surely enhanced over time.
Aware of the challenges to come my way, I still sought to make myself stand out from the proposed opposition. My colleagues, but also close friends within the department. By taking inspiration from Sushio, Aaron Mcgruder, and Atsushi Ōkubo, I developed an art style that worked perfectly for me and inspired others to formulate their own style.
After four years, I can say it was worth pursuing regardless of what other people believed. I am proud of the works I have created thus far and will continue to use the knowledge I have obtained within the industry.

Artist Biography
I specialize in digital illustration and animation. I describe my art style as a slice of life with colorful splashes of excitement. My work is often inspired by personal life events. I take pride in being able to take small, even mundane parts of life and giving it an exciting spin through my animation.
Some of my major influences include cartoons such as Steven Universe and We Bare Bears, but I often find inspiration in my daily life. From scrolling through my social media feed, to daydreaming when I visit my favorite coffee shop, or having a sweet moment with my cat, the pool of influences is infinite. I keep my mind and thoughts open to be able to soak up the little things in my life and carry it over to my creative process.
Having the opportunity to bring joy and excitement to others when they look at my creative work is a huge driving factor for me. Growing up, cartoons were always a place of comfort. I wish to give back to the community by sharing pieces that bring a sense of contentment and comfort. I will always aim to release energetic and captivating animations that will welcome people to a safe and youthful place in their minds where they can break from reality and enjoy the adventures on screen.
resumeSamantha Crable
Artist Biography
My name is Samantha Crable, and I am a graduate of Kennesaw State University with a BFA in Digital Animation. As an artist, I like to refer to myself as a “generalist,” meaning I possess skills in all parts of art that relate to the animation pipeline. More specifically, I find my passion lies mostly in doing character design and illustrations. My favorite genre in any media is fantasy, so that is an element I tend to try and include in my work. Most of what I was brought up with, whether it be Tolkien’s Middle Earth, action-adventure video games such as The Legend of Zelda, and various animated films, have influenced my style in one way or another. I enjoy illustrations that tell a story and/or engage with the audience, as if the viewer of any given piece I create is a part of the scene. I look forward to what creativity and fun I can bring to the industry and to all fellow art-appreciators, as well as look forward to what I can keep learning along the way.

Erin Jimison
Artist Biography
I am an Atlanta based artist with an extensive background in traditional art and I work to bring that quality into my digital portfolio. I am driven to find a career in either background design, concept art or character design. I love visual storytelling through my illustrations, from large compositions to the tiniest detail, this has always been my goal.
I have experience working both freelance and in team environments, having done commission work for pet portraits, portraiture, and two illustrated children’s books of the Ants and the Machine Series by Michael Thomas. My team experience has been in designing, painting and sculpting for Woodstock Market’s Christmas display windows, where I and a team of artists worked together on a tight deadline to sculpt and paint a window display entirely out of foam. These opportunities, which prioritize deadlines and time management skills, are environments that I thrive in.
It is my goal to continue to learn and grow in team environments where we can bring stories to life.

Why did I choose an Arts degree knowing the industry is tough to break into? Because regret is an awful feeling. Life is a battle no matter who you are and what degree you have. I have learned over time to put my passion for things over money. A job has to legally pay you, but you don’t have to legally like it. Life is too short of having regrets. My friend once said, “I will spend that extra five dollars for that extra five seconds of serotonin”. At the end of the day, you are replaceable, a number on a sheet. However, if you are happy with yourself, you have something most people want. Happiness. That is why I chose an art degree. I enjoyed it even in the most difficult times because at the end of the day it is what makes me truly happy.

Artist Biography
My artwork combines elements from both eastern anime and western cartoons as those are things I loved in media growing up. It also puts a lot of focus on the joys of finding oneself and acceptance for individuality. Growing up in a black household I also try to use my art as a way to contribute to opening the door more for black representation in media so that the children these works are aimed towards can see themselves in it. This is why my style is more cartoony. Each project I try to show off these elements to the best of my abilities and as creatively as possible.

All my childhood I was captivated by the world of animation and art in its many forms. I always had a passion for art but never guessed I would graduate with a degree in digital animation. My passion for character design and storytelling have been a major influence on the art I make and wish to share with the world. The power animations have to tell meaningful stories and teach life lessons that stick in the hearts of millions of all ages has been a motivation to create stories of my own.
Character design has always been a defining feature of where most of my inspiration in art comes from. I love creature unique and interesting characters and building the world around them to create interesting stories that can captivate those of all backgrounds. The characters I’ve designed for my future film belong to a fantastic world where they must overcome their pasts and work toward a better future. Kidd the cursed boy and Killian the dragon prince come together to save their world`s from an evil king while helping one another overcome their pasts of connected grief and accepting unexpected changes.

Artist Biography
Animation has been a part of me from an early age, with movies and shows creating stories and characters that I will remember forever. I always wondered what it would be like to work in animation but never imagined it would be something I could do. Prior to college I had never practiced or taken any art classes, so coming into this major I knew I had to be ready to learn and work hard in order to succeed in this career field. I hope to one day work on an animated series for the next generations to come, and inspire future artists as great artists have inspired me.
