Goals
To combat climate change, the world must reduce its dependency on fossil fuels, and it is known that nuclear power plants produce no greenhouse gas emissions during operation. Our research team, consisting of engineering faculty and students, aims to study novel nanostructured materials for the safer use of nuclear energy. Moreover, faculty members and students from biology, bioengineering, and biomechanics will be invited to study how to reduce the negative health impact of the novel fuels and moderator materials that will be developed in this research.
