Winter Weather Campus Update

Out of an abundance of caution, Kennesaw State University will move to modified operations on Tuesday, January 21. All in-person classes will convert to remote instruction protocols determined by each instructor. Students should refer to course syllabi or D2L for details on how learning will continue during Modified Operations. All online classes will continue as scheduled. Presenting Research to Georgia Legislators

Posters at the Georgia State Capitol is an annual event in Atlanta, Georgia in which undergraduate researchers from schools in Georgia present their research as posters to state legislators and staffers. Undergraduates at Kennesaw State University who are working on research are strongly encouraged to submit an application.

Who Should Apply: Undergraduate researchers from ALL disciplines who are currently enrolled in a public or private college or university located in the state of Georgia.

Recommended Research: Submit a research project that has been accepted and that you have presented within the last two academic years at another conference.

Important Dates and Information for the 2025 Event

January 27, 2025 at 11:59pm: Proposals due to the Office of Undergraduate Research
- These presentations should have been peer-reviewed and presented at GURC or other professional conferences previously
January 31, 2025: Notification emails sent from the Office of Undergraduate Research
February 3, 2025 by 11:59pm: Approved applicants and alternates must submit their abstracts directly to GURC
- Presenters will be notified of their acceptance by February 7, 2025
- Accepted presenters should submit a poster proof for review by February 13, 2025
February 25, 2025, 1:00pm - 3:00pm: Poster event, South Hall/Rotunda of the Georgia State Capitol

Please note that for the 2025 Posters at the Georgia State Capitol the timeline is extremely short. Therefore, each institution has been requested to individually select a maximum of two (2) projects and two (2) alternates to participate. Acceptance will be dependent on the response rate and the number of posters the Rotunda can accommodate.

The Office of Undergraduate Research will review each abstract and poster and select the projects which best represent Kennesaw State University, based on these criteria.
