The Offices of Undergraduate Research and Global Education are pleased to partner on a new funding program designed to help faculty who work with undergraduate researchers. This project is part of KSU’s "Year Of" Annual Country Study. For the 2024-2025 academic year, the "Year Of" country is Canada, eh.
Faculty could apply for up to $1,000 in funding to support a collaborative research project involving undergraduate researchers and a Canadian partner. The deadline was January 31. The application portal is closed.

What are the requirements?
- This must be a collaborative effort with a Canadian partner (for example, a partner at a Canadian higher education institution or a company/nonprofit in Canada).
- Faculty must work with one or more undergraduate researchers on the project.
- Funds must be utilized by April 15, 2025.
-
What are the ways that we can spend the funding?
Funds can be used in the following ways:
- Supplies or materials to conduct research (for example, software, materials for the arts, scientific supplies, books/journals that cannot be provided by the library, etc.)
- Travel and/or registration costs for students presenting at a conference** (note that we cannot fund students to attend conferences or workshops where they are not listed as a presenter). International travel needs to be approved by the Office of International Safety and Security before an URCA proposal can be reviewed. Please email globalsafety@kennesaw.edu for more information
- Travel costs to collect data
- Participant incentives (for example, gift cards for individuals who participate in a survey or experiment)
