Proposed Changes Regarding Animal Use
Any amendments to an existing Animal Care and Use Protocol (ACUP) must undergo review
and receive approval from the IACUC before the changes can be implemented. The review
process for amendments follows a similar administrative and committee procedure as
for new protocols. Amendments are classified into two categories: significant changes,
which may require more extensive review, and minor changes, which involve less complex
modifications.
Regardless of the type, all protocol changes must be properly reviewed to ensure compliance with regulations.
