Research Integrity

In honor of Ethics Awareness Week, we are debuting our new name: Research Compliance is now Research Integrity. This name change is reflective of the culture we wish to nurture – KSU produces high-quality research with relevance, and integrity is an essential underpinning of that quality. Regulatory frameworks exist to encourage and support integrity, and thus compliance is a means to an end, not a goal itself. Just as grades are an indirect measure of student understanding and mastery, compliance is the indirect way we determine that projects, and the humans that run them, operate with integrity. Please join us as we nurture a culture of integrity here at KSU!

Research Integrity in the Office of Research facilitates and monitors institution-wide compliance of research activities at Kennesaw State University to ensure responsible and ethical conduct in research as outlined by federal and state regulations and university policies and procedures. Areas of compliance include conflict of interest, laboratory safety in coordination with KSU's Environmental Health and Safety Department, export compliance, and data security measures

The goal of Research Integrity is to provide faculty, staff, and students with the applicable training and resources on the proper methods of conducting research. Research Integrity staff works in collaboration with the following committees:

  1. Institutional Review Board - Questions? Email irb@kennesaw.edu.
  2. Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee - Questions? Email iacuc@kennesaw.edu.
