As part of KSU's commitment to enhancing our community and culture, a new division has been established to address Organizational Effectiveness, Leadership Development, and Inclusive Excellence. The division is tasked with improving strategic and institutional planning and execution, creating a culture of leadership, and promoting a welcoming campus climate, all aligning with our ongoing efforts for continuous growth and improvement.
Considering these goals, Dr. Sonia Toson has been appointed as the Vice President to lead this new division and initiative. Her leadership will play a pivotal role in supporting our pursuit of excellence in all that we do.
Three Pillars of Growth to Strategize
Dr. Toson will oversee three interconnected areas in this new division at KSU:
Organizational Effectiveness
This encompasses strategic planning, continuous improvement, and change management functions, led by Julie Page, Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives.
Leadership Development
A newly established unit will focus on leadership values, core competencies, and programming, with the creation of a relevant and impactful curriculum for faculty and staff.
Inclusive Excellence
This unit will ensure a welcoming community through education, assessments, and compliance support. Student-facing initiatives will transition to the Office of the Provost to contribute to student success.
Should you have any inquiries, suggestions, or concerns regarding this new division and initiative, please do not hesitate to contact OLI.
