Airport Travel

Atlanta's airport, officially named Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (often referred to as ATL), holds the title of the world's busiest passenger airport, so prepare for that.

The airport is located 9.2 miles (14.8km) from the conference venue. This is at best 15 minutes by car, or 45 minutes by public transportation.

If you choose public transportation, you can ride MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority), which is the principal public transport operator in the Atlanta metropolitan area.

You can plan your trip with MARTA . Downloading the Breeze App can make traveling on the MARTA significantly more convenient!

Things to consider

  • Massive size:  The airport sprawls over a vast area, with two main terminals (domestic and international) and a whopping seven concourses. Don't worry though, an underground transportation system with moving walkways and an automated train (The Plane Train) helps you navigate efficiently.
  • Busy but efficient: Despite the high volume of passengers, ATL is known for its relatively fast processing times. Yet it is important to consider how busy it is if you are on a tight schedule.
