Georgia State University campus is located at 33 Gilmer Street SE Atlanta, GA 30303. The conference sessions will take place at Georgia State University's Student Center, East Building at 55 Gilmer St. Atlanta GA 30303.
This is right in downtown Atlanta, the beating heart of the city, a unique blend of business district and vibrant energy. It is known for its rich history, skyscrapers dominate the scene, and the many tourist attractions that are packed there. Its walkable streets makes exploring downtown on foot easy, letting you soak in the atmosphere and discover hidden gems. This is particularly important as downtown Atlanta is also a cultural hub where catching a show, visiting a renowned museum, or exploring the city's vibrant street art scene is a must.
On-campus housing will be available in the University Commons. Located at 141 Piedmont Ave NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30303, Georgia State University will be offering two-bedroom / two-bathroom, two bedroom / one-bathroom, and four-bedroom / two bathroom suites. Linen will be provied in each suite. Conviently located in downtown Atlanta, the University Commons is a ten minute walk from the conference venue. Atlanta's airport, officially named Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (often referred to as ATL), holds the title of the world's busiest passenger airport, so prepare for that.
The airport is located 9.2 miles (14.8km) from the conference venue. This is at best 15 minutes by car, or 45 minutes by public transportation.
If you choose public transportation, you can ride MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority), which is the principal public transport operator in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
