Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance, and Inclusion Month (JDAIM) unites Jewish communities to raise awareness and champion the rights of all Jews, including Jews with disabilities, to be respected, valued, and included in all aspects of Jewish community life.

Through the purchase and test implementation of four Orpheo Micro LX2 headsets, the Museum of History and Holocaust Education (MHHE) will provide access to audio descriptive tours for its on-site exhibition content, beginning with “The Sky’s the Limit: Women Pilots of World War II.”  This pilot project will launch an initiative to enhance the museum experience for community members with blindness or low vision and will also provide access to audio description content for visitors who wish to enhance their experience through engagement with audio descriptive features while also engaging with visual elements of the exhibition content. Stereo headphones providing access to audio descriptive content will also create a welcoming environment for individuals with ADHD and other conditions that impair focus in museum environments.
