Become A Teacher! Earn a Master of Arts in Teaching, MAT, at KSU

KSU’s eight MAT programs are designed to empower you with the knowledge, skills and classroom experience needed to excel as a new teacher. We stay ahead of the curve to equip you with what’s needed in today's ever-changing educational landscape.

  • Application fee waiver is available for those applying for the MAT in Elementary Education.
    The online Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Elementary Education will give you the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to effectively meet the educational needs of elementary students in Georgia. After you complete the degree, you will receive a MAT in Elementary Education and will be eligible for initial certification in P-5 Elementary Education. The 39-hour program includes in-person school field placements and can be completed in four semesters (Summer, Fall, Spring, Summer). Application deadline is May 1.

    Application fee waivers are available until May 1, 2025, for propsective students applying for fall 2025.
