Notice of the Filing of an Application for Permanent Employment Certification
The following notices are posted as a result of the filing of an application for permanent alien labor certification for these job opportunities. These postings will remain in public view for a period of at least 10 consecutive business days and must be made no more than 180 and no less than 30 days prior to filing the permanent labor certification application.
Lecturer of Data Science and Analytics
Responsibilities: A commitment to excellence in teaching and service to the university, department and/or discipline is expected of all non-tenure track faculty. Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the area of Statistics, Data Science, and Analytics. [Undergraduate courses may include: STAT 2332: Probability and Data Analysis (a foundational, calculus-based introduction to statistics and probability); STAT 4210: Applied Regression Analysis (Topics in Regression) (this course is designed to provide students with various regression procedural methods, including simple linear and multiple regression models); Graduate courses may include: STAT 7210: Applied Regression Analysis (topics include simple linear regression, inferences, diagnostics and remedies, matrix representations, multiple regression models, generalized linear model, multicollinearity, polynomial models, qualitative predictor variables, model selection and validation, identifying outliers and influential observations, diagnostics for multicollinearity, and logistic regression).] Service to School, College, University, and/or professional community is expected. Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines. Required Qualifications: a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Statistics, Data Science, Analytics or a closely related discipline, or a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline.
