Nominate KSU Students for Research Awards

Faculty mentors/supervisors/professors can nominate their students for four research-related awards. Award winners will receive cash and be recognized at the GURP 2025 conference.

Eligibility

  1. Students must be attending the GURP 2025 conference to be considered for an award.
  2. Nominations should come from faculty mentors/members who have close knowledge of the student's research involvement.

Nomination Process

To nominate a student, the faculty member must provide:

  1. The student information (i.e., name, institution, and email address)
  2. Faculty member’s information (i.e., name, email address, and relationship to the student)
  3. Nomination information (i.e., identify the award for which the student is most deserving and explain why in no more than 2,000 characters)

* You must repeat these steps for each student, or if you would like to nominate the same student for multiple awards.  

Nomination Review Process

Review criteria: Nominees will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  1. Strong record of undergraduate research in the category
  2. Potential for significant impact on the field of psychology

Review process:

  1. Two to three reviewers will evaluate each nomination to determine the degree to which they meet the review criteria.
  2. Nominations with the most points across judges will receive the awards.
  3. Awards will be announced and presented at the GURP 2025 conference.
