Master of Arts in Integrated Global Communication

The Master's in Integrated Global Communication at Kennesaw State University is a professional-oriented, 30-hour, four-semester graduate program. The global communications master's program at Kennesaw State is the only global communication master’s program in the Southeast that features an experimental learning module that requires students to study abroad.

The master's in global communication delivers an innovative curriculum that is a balance of theory and learned skills necessary for a master’s program. A cohort model builds collaboration and leadership skills.

Summer Engagement Abroad

KSU’s master’s in global communication is the only university in the Southeast that offers a Summer Engagement Abroad Module where you will study abroad to experience and observe communication in a foreign culture.

The Summer Engagement Abroad Module is an integral part of the global communications degree. You’ll have the opportunity to travel to various places worldwide while describing your international experiences in blog posts.

Gain experience through internships offered by the global communications masters program with various media and government organizations, including:

  • BBC Southeast Tunbridge Wells, UK (just south of London)
  • Noble Wines of Montepulciano, Italy Consortium
  • Crociano Wines Montepulciano, Italy
  • YK Corporation, Colombia, South America 

You can also enroll in a study abroad, KSU graduate course study tour, or conduct original research projects overseas. Our past students have studied in the Netherlands, China, South Korea, Ghana, Belgium and interned with companies in Japan and Argentina.

The KSU Integrated Global Communications program academic partner in Bucharest, Romania, is the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration's (SNSPA) School of Public Relations and Communication. You have the opportunity to conduct research and work with their faculty. Discounted accommodations are provided to KSU students.

You will also have the opportunity to enroll in a two-week English language global communication course at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart University in Milan, Italy. Tuition at Sacred Heart includes accommodations.

Admissions Requirements

  • Online Graduate Application -There is a non-refundable $60 application fee.
  • Transcripts - Official transcripts from EACH College and/or University you have attended.  Must be in a sealed envelope from the institution or sent electronically from the institution directly to ksugrad@kennesaw.edu.
  • Recommended GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Letter of Application (Must be uploaded into the online application) - Should state the importance of M.A. in Integrated Global Communications in achieving your career goals.
  • Essay (Must be uploaded into the online application) - Why does global communication interest you? Provide a brief statement addressing the formation of your multicultural or global interests and a description of tentative plans for research (specific problems or general areas) in the MAIGC program. (500 words)
  • Resume (Must be uploaded into the online application)
  • Letters of Recommendation (3) (Should be uploaded within online application or sent directly to ksugrad@kennesaw.edu). Should be mix of academic and professional.
